These local facilities have accepted a grant from Bras for the Cause to help underinsured and uninsured Iowans gain access to mammograms, cervical screenings, other related projects and/or programs. These funds were distributed in July 2020 and are available until the money awarded has been depleted. New grants will be awarded in July of 2021 and listed as soon as funds are available. Women age 40 and over in need of a mammogram should either submit information HERE or call Gina Mandernach at 515-241-4141. After contacting John Stoddard Cancer Center/Unit Point - Des Moines, you will receive a call to review eligibility criteria. This includes income guideline (at or below 250% of the federal poverty level) and no insurance or limited insurance.

Patients needing financial assistance with their care can call 877-811-7526 to schedule an appointment and discuss their options. Assistance programs are available for those who qualify and can provide an indication of need. A member of the Patient Services team will walk patients though what they need to bring to their appointment, assistance options, and an expected cost of service.

Transportation Assistance:
Provides transportation to and from appointments for Iowans going through breast cancer treatments at Des Moines or Ames area clinics.
